MindBlizzard

Late 2007 the first Joomla 1.5 stable version was released, and it felt good. The problem is, a lot of the wealth of components and modules written for the old Mambo and Joomla 1.0.x don't work with this new framework. 1.5 is definately an improvement, so I prefer to use components which run natively on the 1.5 framework.

Thus, 90% off the former functionality is gone. I'll have to wait for updates. There's a new blogging component out which is Joomla 1.5 native, so I installed it. It works, but it's still pretty alpha. The basic features are there, but not the full range off blogging utilities I need. So migrating the MindBlizzard blog has to wait a bit.

For the time being I will stick to blogging over at the old, familiar, MindBlizzard blog, and start working on expanding these pages in the coming weeks. Focus will be on creating a broad range of links to MDC's (Metaverse Development Companies), MSP's (Metaverse Service Providers), Virtual Worlds and updating the much consulted MindBlizzard Brand Directory for Brands which have a presence in Second Life.
